Luminescence Dating Research Laboratory
The Luminescence Dating Research Laboratory was set up in the Department of Engineering Physics, Faculty of Engineering, University of Ankara and is operational since 2000. The laboratory has been actively involved in the development and application of luminescence dating.
Investigations on OSL (Optical Stimulated Luminescence) and TL (Thermolüminescence) properties of feldspar coarse grains.
OSL and TL dating of pottery, and other ceramic materials.
The Laboratory also provides education through research experiences for graduate students, post-doctoral scholars and visitors.
